Rover 13S shuts down while running a line boring program. error message= thermo relay forced machine into emergency status.
Voltage at the motor that controls the drilling head drops just before the machine shuts off. The green start button dims every time the head drops down. Any ideas? Voltage coming into the machine is fine.

most likely a loose wire. Find the area that would put the most stress on the wire and connectors and open the fitting up.
I just went through this with our Rover 30

Your machine has the NC400,410,410Plus control? Save all of your most used program to a floppy and delete all saved programs from the hard drive. I have seen this happen several times when the small hard drives on these controls get full. If this is not what the problem is, then proceed with electrically troubleshooting as stated.
The green light is going to drop out anytime you have a break in the emergency circuit, which the error is indicating to you that you do.

if I were you i would contact the Biesse support hotline at 7043573131 and press 2 for service. I have always found the group there to be very supportive.

You know the voltage drops on drill motor because you have a meter on it? Or just by listening?
Bypass the air pressure sensor on the emergency line to see if problem goes away.
