I have been looking at a used 5 X 10 CNC Manuf in 2006 by a company out of TX that is no longer in business, Standard Router LLC. The machine looks to have been made of all common high quality components, Fanuc controls but Im worried about buying the machine as it is proving very difficult to find anyone with an opinion on Standard or any real experience, please help if you can?

We used to have a 4' x 4' model.
Table moved in X, Gantry in Y or vice versa.
Pretty good cnc, had a few quirks.
There was a guy that bought all the spare parts when the company closed and also offered phone support.
Not sure if he is still doing that or not.
Company was called ATRP
Roy Poland 940-365-2887, out of Texas.
There was also a Tommy Dorgan who dealt with the software side of things 214-329-1223.
Good Luck.

Don't know anything about the router.
However, if you are going to be using in your business and count on it to work, I personally would want something that has repair parts and tech help available. The only way I would buy it is if I had another one and had lots of experience with it.

Standard router is not much different than any other Fanuc controlled router/machine out there. Anyone that repairs and deals with machines such as Komo, Northwood, Anderson, Shoda, Heian, Kitako, etc… will be able to repair your machine. Not to mention the 1000’s of metal working techs that can work with your machine as Fanuc is very common in metal working. Most other parts are usually standard sourced parts.
