From original questioner:

I want too buy a up cut saw

Right up front I'm not fond of Chinese tools. We've got an 18" Whirlwind. It has some design flaws but works OK for relatively rough cutting. Choose your blades carefully, slow the stroke some and maybe put a backup fence to limit chip-outs could make it nearly a finish cut.

what would be the best saw for cutting door parts only

An up-cut saw is the best solution for what you are doing!!! With a digital ruler or device like a Tiger stop you will find the precision and speed you can cut volumes of parts with will be above expectations. DO IT! But I also recommend the 18" saws. I am using a Chines made saw at my current job and with the exception of a few updated safety features, it is the same saw as the Powermatic I purchased back in 1995! So I'm not sure I can agree with Larry about totally avoiding Chines made in some cases. This saw does an outstanding job.

I also wanted to say, get a stiff saw blade with 120 teeth, High angle ATB, zero to plus 5 deg. A good company for a Cadillac of blades at a great price is R.K.O. Saw in Cullom, IL. 800-926-6655

I bet you that Ironwood would cut 1 million parts. A shop here in my area just got a huge double sided planer and strait line ripsaw..Nothing wrong with Ironwood! Well made.

I am a one man shop that also makes my doors and drawers. 3 years ago I purchased a whirlwind upcut and this year at IWF I bought a Tigerstop to go on it, This is been one of my best investments in speed and accuracy for the shop.

Haven't pulled the trigger on a uncut saw, but bought a tiger stop, and the difference it made in quality and speed was priceless. Third best investment, behind cnc router and edgebander.
