Members both New and Long term, I joined Woodweb in the mid 90s not sure when, By participating and using Woodweb (The MacDaddy of all woodworking forums) I can say first hand Woodweb has played a MAJOR role in my ability to stay without fail in my woodworking career, I have really never tried to define my own success as it is with ups and downs, how could I measure it other than to say I had a Blast and was able to do Exactly what I wanted to for my entire working career.
To anyone new on woodweb, You can click to be notified of the forums which matter to you. In my case Business, Cabinetry, Architectural, Installation, Cad and CNC. I get a nice Email every AM at 5:30 +/- this info may or may not be needed that day but trust me one day it will..

I agree with James on the usefulness of Woodweb. When I attend the major trade shows I try to make it a point to visit the Woodweb booth just to say thank you.
Follow-up posts on how an issue or project finished can be extremely useful. Thanks to those who take the time to let us know what they decided to do and what results they achieved.
Thank you, Woodweb and all of the participants for taking the time to share!
I couldn't agree more. I started looking on here at least 10 years ago. For a long time I just lurked, digesting others posts, and learning. Many, many individuals on here have contributed to my success in this career path, many without even realizing it. Gradually, I felt I had something to add and was happy to help and give back. (It's really funny reading something in the knowledge base and going, wait a minute, I was part of this Thread!)
This has been a wonderful forum, and I thank both the participants and everyone behind the scenes that make it all happen.
In fact, I still learn all the time from this site...Such as today.....Will there be a wood web booth at IWF?!?
MacDaddy? Really? I don't think that word means what you think it means.
Ok enlighten me, this is why I am on this forum !!
Ohh Crippy,, I shoulda Googled it before !! I have used this to refer to "Top Dog" or the "King of All"
this ls left over from my drag racing motocross days as a teen

Two thumbs up!
Are you sure it is not from your pimping days?
I would like to learn more about economics and the inevitable politics. But the mac daddy of the woodweb has seen fit to kill that.
WOODWEB will be at IWF 2014. Anyone interested in meeting is welcome to stop by the booth (#4343) on Friday August 22nd at 2 P.M. When the size of the group is determined we can move to a meeting area if needed. WOODWEB hopes to see you at our booth!
As posted by everyone else so far, I too have found Woodweb to be my "go-to" resource for everything related to my business! MacDaddy aside, this site is in my mind the number one online resource for professional woodworkers.
Thank you Woodweb crew for all the work you do to keep the site clean and meaningful to professionals and thank you to all of the great folks who post questions and responses here every day!
I can only echo what everyone else has said about the resource and the help Woodweb has provided.
I will add that when you need anything, try the sponsors here first. Those clicks on their names/sites help make all this possible.
However, there are no MacDaddys listing, though it does show up in a site search.
