In reference to wide belt sanding....12/3/14
It's not how much the 80 grit belt removes that matters most. It's the structure of the scratch left behind that makes the magic happen. It's not the material removed from the surface, but the scratch left "in" the surface that establishes color consistency.
I just wanted to put this thought out there is expand the mind of the reader. This is not a suggestion for an application per se.
Is there a question or are you just eating brownies with funny ingredients?

A person reading that statement can learn more than reading entire books on sanding.
I believe Adam is trying to help us all out with a small bit of good info. I've read some of his stuff, he knows sanding. If you don't understand what he is saying why not ask questions? You might learn something.

The concept in the original post could save wood working companies around the world unbelievable amounts of money. It could change the entire industry for the better. Less abrasive costs and far less rework with awesome consistency.
