Hello
Can anyone recommend a simple black and white printer that lasts in a dusty environment?
Thanks

Dot matrix printers seem pretty immune. We've got two laser printers that have survived a lot. One is a 10 year old Dell color laser. The label printer in the shop has survived for a long time, thermal transfer. Ink jets don't like dirt. (and are expensive to run)

Our office is not directly exposed to shop dust, but there's fine dust everywhere. Our Dell 3110CN color laser has run for more than 10 years in that environment. I also have a HP Designate 130 inkjet that is 6 years old - no problems.

Had a Brother color laser that worked great, but it started dribbling toner after only a couple years, can't say whether it was the dust or what. Definitely killed quite a few optical drives over the years with the dust.

A little late but couldn't help to respond. I'm for HP; have owned five over the years. I just decided to retire one today after ten years of loyal service in a very dusty environment, with mice living inside because of the warmth. The feed rollers finally gave out and each sheet had to be fed by hand.
