Anderson alum/phenolic grid sizing?1/29/18
I've been tasked with making pods for our new Anderson CNC (which we don't actually have yet) on my Homag but all I'm told is the table is the same. I tend not to believe that.
Does anyone know the table grid of the Anderson CNCs? The Homag is 30mm of which 7mm is the gasket groove and the depth is also 7mm.
A lot of these grids actually are the same.
My recollection, however, is that Anderson is slightly off (or at least, used to be).
Honestly, i'd just bug Anderson and ask.
im not sure how they make these pucks,,but i can vouch for better vacuum cups,,,used them on weeke and biesse,,and they are spot on,,,acutally better than the ones from Homag,,ive even cut thought a few of them,,keep up the great work,,

I have looked into the green pods and many others but I find that a two piece pod with a changeable top (for damage and size) works best for what we do.
Turns out Anderson was supposed to match our Homag table exactly (for sharing pods) and failed to do so. They are close and small pods fit but the spacing is off just enough that longer pods are too tight to fit.
Here at BVC we manufacture over 40 different sizes of vacuum cups. A picture says a thousand words. Maybe if we could see a picture of what you are trying to accomplish, I or someone else on the boards could help.
I've seen your video and an impressive product it is.
However if you are skilled enough to not hit your pods nor purchase your pods in the first place it is far more economical to make them yourself. I'm using the same pods I made when we started our new line five years ago and other than pitch build up they look and work as they did new.
The Anderson Grid is on 50mm centers. It has a 5mm x 5mm groove pattern. BVC, Schmalz, and NEMI all make standard offerings for this grid. Email me if you'd like for me to send you the part #s.
