I have just revitalized a 1435SE and need to find a technician to visit the Detroit area who may be able to take a look at this machine, tune it and school me as to its operation and adjustments.

Did you reach out to Holz-her direct? We have that same machine though yours may be a couple years newer looking at the photos. Holz-her tech support has bailed me out several times when Ive gotten in a pinch with ours but its only been a couple times. Whether we got a gem or not I dont know but this machine runs flawlessly for what we do (mainly pvc) and has been nothing less than a workhorse.

Thanks Mark,
I have several calls and 2 emails over the last two weeks to Lisa Tatro at Holz-Her (that is who they direct me to) with no response. I am glad I didn't purchase the vertical machining center from them I looked at several years back. Stiles always has a phone tech and parts available that make it possible for me to have the machines producing by the following day.

Wow,
Thats very strange. Ive always called at 1 704 587 3400 and gone into the tech support menu and even when I've had to request a call back Ive always gotten one within hour(s) and their techs have walked me through getting out of my problem. Its not to say they are going to be any help with full machine setup and walkthrough but these machines are pretty simple to figure out unless you get into the cab internals.

Anything with regards to dialing in the feed-through and tweaks is pretty straight forward once you start running some parts. A roll of cheap white banding and a sheet cut into test parts and you should have it licked.

I have never had a field tech here and we band parts with 1mm daily that come straight off the machine like the images attached. The bonus to working your way through it yourself is you learn all the nuances of the machine. A tech comes in and gets you set up and no matter how well they explain and make you notes you never truly understand the nuances of whats going on.
