Brandt Ambition 1110 and Banding Next to Blind Dadoes w/Qualified Tenons.
9/28/16
Is anyone banding the bottom of their upper ends using blind dadoes with qualified tenons? I have a brandt 1110 (with nested base package) and would like to do this. I'm just not positive on the distance between the copy wheel and the top and bottom trimmers. I only have .375" of space between the dado and the bottom of the end. Any help or tips\tricks are appreciated!

on our old KD-56 we did not have the nesting package and we had no problems at 1.25" back from the face for our qualified blind dado. Now on our Ambition 1440 we do have the nesting package but we just left it all the same. I would assume with the nesting package you shouldn't have a problem

Oops! read that wrong, yes we band the bottoms of all our upper cabinet sides, we have had no problem on either machine.

Thanks! That will make me feel a little better when I go to run my first panels.
I just realized that I could put some ink on the copy wheel and run a test panel to figure out exactly where it's at.
