Headboard with curves.
10/11/16
My daughter wants a bed, the top of the headboard has a curve in it starting about 1/3 of the height off of the floor. The pickets or upright pieces in the headboard also have a slight curve. I can build a kitchen, vanity or entertainment cabinet in my sleep, but haven't done much like this.
My thought process is telling me to either make a jig and glue up the curved pieces or cut them out with a band saw. I was thinking of fastening the uprights or picket pieces with a tenon from a Festool domino machine or wood dowels.
I was wondering what others would recommend to build this piece?
Thanks

Curved lied a Sleigh bed,, make a jig for the slats

If the slats are thin enough (less than 1/2" or so), consider steam bending. I made my steam bending rig from a cheap steam cleaner and some 4" PVC pipe.
Cheers,

Put a groove in the two rails and fill between the slats with stop pieces.
I would just cut the curved pieces.
