air lines and electrical cords

we have about 3500 sq ft in our shop, with airlines going in different directions as well as power cords. Is anybody using reel type hose air lines or any answers other than coil and pull out each day. How air tight do they stay or is there other maintainence issues involved. I would like to clean up the place and not have to step over hoses and electrical cords all day long.

Run copper or black pipe overhead to drops where you need it. Hoses should be as short as possible. The pressure drop for hose is large. You will also transmit lots of water to the tools with hose on the floor.

We have cord reels over all the benches and where ever needed. Air drops are via hoses that are short enough to just be reachable or else they are connected to the back bench. No problem with water if you take the drops off the top of the supply lines (& use an air drier on the system.)

I have plug mold on each side of the benches. 5' strip has 10 outlets, gives you 20 outlets on an 8' bench. It works great, no extension cords. Fed from column to under the bench with a rubber guard over the cords. Guard is glued to the floor with contact adhesive.
