Good morning everyone. Don't laugh but I have such a small basic question but I can't find the answer on my own... so...
I am laying out a modification to an existing desk, part of which includes two new doors and two rollouts behind. I am installing the doors to the existing wood filing cabinet on the left side and the the finished end panel that goes too the wall on the right. This was the seating area and will now be a storage space.
So, the doors will be mounted flush inset with saliche inset hinges. the issue is I have been unable to find the actual dimension of the open door so I can adjust the width of my rollout!
Before you all say WTF I am semi retired and haven't done this installation in quite some time!
So, two more detailes... on the left side I can use a 165 degree hinge but on the right it has to be a 120 because there is a wall. So, given those two parameters, how much do I need to reduce the width of my rollouts?
BTW... also so no one is laughing.. I don't have a shop anymore, I live in the jungle in Mexico and am doing this project entirely via the web with a trusted installer and a well known door and drawer company who also does not give that little tiny piece of info! I could just reduce by 2" on both sides and call it a day but I would rather have a tighter fit and take advantage of all the space as the home is small and every square inch counts which is why they are modifying the kitchen built in sit down desk into a stand up desk.
I attached the elevation without dims... you know the worst enemy of a master woodworker is failing memory... so help me out please. THANKS!
