Altendorf panel saw

Our Altendorf wa8 all of sudden will not go back to zero on the digital angle gauge. I’ve checked that everything is free of obstructions I’ve blown the track out and all the sensors and made sure nothing has come loose under there. I’m stumped, it’ll go to around 46 degrees and when you try to bring it back to zero it stops around 2. Any ideas ?

If it has an encoder strip, wipe it off with denatured alcohol.

I had to buy a new display/encoder for mine. Stiles came to install the part however the number of teeth were different so it read off. Technician said two of the connections needed to be un-soldered and reversed. He wasn't willing to do it so we did it. It worked.

Oh man, I’ve been down this road. Our Altendorf has had the same issue. The tech has been back a bunch of times and can’t figure it out. We bought a new circuit board and still had the problem. Ended up putting the original board back in. It works but nobody knows why. They mentioned power spikes and overheating which I don’t buy. Good luck
