3/4 overlay pocket doors

Can anyone here recommend pocket door hardware for full 3/4 overlay cabinetry. In the past most of my pocket door applications have been inset.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I found a couple of choices on page 1 of a Google search. I have no idea what hardware brand you prefer.

I don’t really care about the brand. Just wondering if anyone has used them before. The KV version got some bad reviews. Said it was a total pain to install and adjust

My ignorance is showing, but how do you have a 3/4" overlay door with a pocketing function? I thought the door had to be inset to be able to have a pocket function... Please educate me.
Thanks, Chris

Chris, you notch the top and bottom face frame rails about the thickness of the door and just a bit taller to let it pass thru. The notch isn't too noticeable when it's closed up.
J- I haven't done one for a while, but when I did I used KV. I think that unfortunately the nature of the beast is that they are all a PITA to install and adjust!

Actually you just overhang the doors above and below if possible to create the overlay pocket look and keep it all in plane no notching needed. This is in frameless consruction where I use it however.

Pocket doors are the worst invention ever as far as I'm concerned. I know there are some out there that are very expensive that work very well but for the KV and other major brand's they suck.

I agree. I feel like I went years without using them but all of the sudden they seem to be popular again. Not a fan.

I've used the KV8080 and 8092 a few times. Never have been able to keep from scratching the bottom outside door stile on the bottom runner. If you have, let me know how!

Yep ! the painter either fill them with paint or take them of and do not no how to put them back, and yes they scratch the doors !!! I HATE THAT.

Try these. We use them as our standard and install tons of them. They actually only do +/- 5/8” overlap but nothing truly does 3/4” without binding issues when opening and closing the doors. I am not a fan of pocket doors like many others but I have used these for years with few call backs.
