rift cut oak

Hi guys. We are starting to get jobs to quote with slab doors, in a straight grain, very light and consistent oak. The color they are asking for is very light (almost yellow) and very consistent, with no dark. They send along pics, so I know it's being done-It's just not something we've seen or had experience with. Honestly-have never used any oak other than plain sawn back in the day, and it was mostly red oak. Are any of you getting jobs like this? From what I gather from what few samples I've seen (mostly flooring samples) it is rift cut or "straight grained". I can't see being able to keep a consistent, light color without bleaching or something. I can see maybe accomplishing it with Ash, but the samples and design packages say Oak, Any input would be appreciated.

Rift cut white oak is almost all I see from designers. If you are using veneered panels then there is reconstituted rift oak that is very consistent and looks and finishes well.
If you are going for solid doors, rift oak is available. Pay the premium to get the best wood you can. It will pay off with yield and reduced labour.

We are getting a ton of orders for riftsawn white oak over the past year. We have a few stains and one light spray on stain that we are using to accomplish that "blonde" look. We are transitioning as many customers as we can to quartersawn white oak instead of riftsawn because it is cheaper, more consistent, and easier for us to get.
We do struggle with the solid wood because it is several shades darker than the veneer. This is where our spray on blonde stain seems to work the best.

Ryan-can you share your stain mix? I use ChemCraft but am very familiar with MLC and Mohawk as well. The "blonde" look is what I'm after. I thought about having my spray supplier try to come up with something but I figured anything at all would darken the solid White Oak and I'm looking to keep it light. Thanks
