Kitchen with no toekick

Has anyone ever built a kitchen with out a toe kick.
I have a client who installed the floating floor themselves before the cabinets were even built.
I marked on the floor as I always do the outline of the cabinets so the plumbers and electricians know what's going on.(they still manage to f things up usually).
Anyway the homeowners forgot to run the floor pass my lines to account for the toekick.
I tried talking him in to just fixing the floor, but insists I just build them with no toekick.
I personally think they will hate it when it's done.

They will certainly find out why a toekick is there.
Add a floorboard to match the cabinets to hide his FU.

Make the cabinets 3” deeper and charge him for the upgrade. No toekick is nuts.

Many older kitchens did not have toe kicks, maybe you could do a cutout of sorts in the bottom where a kick would be a place a board behind it for looks not function. Good luck.

I'd hate not having a toe. FM had probably got the easiest solution

Like the guy said, charge them more for the custom work. Don't worry about the roaches and rats theyll have later

I've done one w/o toekicks for a specific look. I see a lot of English kitchens that don't have kicks. Not sure I'd want that myself though.
