Hawa Connecta vs Blum Revego vs ???

Architects keep wanting us to do pocketing doors. We stopped offering Accuride or KV due to the doors marring on the front as they are guided into the pocket with a plastic guide/wheel. The Concepta and the Revenge look great but OMG it looks nightmarish to install. Has anyone installed these? PITA? Is there something easy AND good???

Chris-same situation here. I've turned down a few jobs for that very reason. Can't keep the doors from scratching. I need an alternative as well.

Hi Chris,
I completely understand your frustration with pocket doors; I had a similar experience when I installed one myself. The system mentioned is indeed a great option, but if you're looking for easier installation, you might want to check out some other systems as well.

For a comprehensive guide, I recommend watching this step-by-step video on installing a sliding pocket door system: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzVF1IDerko. It made some of the tricky aspects much easier to handle.

Exploring different manufacturers can lead you to find the right fit, and many offer great support for installation. Best of luck with your projects!

I'm one of the trainers at Hafele America Co and last summer we did several workshops for our sales reps where we installed pretty much every pivot/pocket system on the market; started with antient wood followers and rack and pinion systems through all of the current systems including the Blum Revego, the Accuride 1532, the Salice Exedra, several Hafele Slido F-Park products and the Hawa Concepta II and the new Concepta III.

While all of them have their advantages and disadvantages, in my 35 years of installation experience I have never installed an easier system than the Concepta III. I suggest you chat with your Hafele rep and give one of the new systems a try.

Thank you so much! I made a sporadic decision to come out to KBIS next week to see the Exedra, Concepta 3, and Revago. I briefly spoke with Beck Newell yesterday, and she sent some info as well. Thank you again.

We use the Revego , it took one time to figure it out but now that we do , it’s the best one we’ve used and will continue to. But it’s not cheap be ready to spend money and time . It’s worth it . If you have any specific questions I’d be happy to answer them . The reps are great but they don’t know everything.
