We are working on an 70-unit apartment building with 10-15 units geared towards residents in wheelchairs. We recognize that we may not match up at all times the number of interested tenants that are wheelchair bound. So we would like to install the cabinets with an affordable system that allows us to raise or lower the wall cabinets. This would be done upon tenant turnover, NOT on a day-to-day or even regular basis.
I have found some brackets that appear to do what we want from Pressalit (https://pressalit.com/en-us/p/adjustable-brackets/296722/RK1120), but the salesperson I just spoke with said these are quite expensive. Has anyone else dealt with this before or have suggestions on how to economically change the height of wall cabinets?

How big a change or adjustment are you thinking? We use to use a horizontal metal rail system with our closet systems, and adjustable hanging brackets mounted on the sides. No backs in the units though. I think these only allowed a few inches of height change.

After looking at the Hafele website, the brackets are designed for leveling, only 1/2" in height adjustment. But if you ran a second rail, you could possibly switch heights by switching the rail you hang from. Just a thought.

We would be looking to change the cabinet height by 8 to 10 inches. Can you provide more details on the brackets from Hafele you use? And would they work with cabinets that do have backs in them?
