Rollout spacers

What are you guys using for spacers? Wood or plastic blocks? We've been using Blum plastic 1" spacers but they are just so F...ing UGLY, I cant take it anymore. Making them out of wood is kind of labor intensive. Anybody have an alternative method?

I've been kicking around getting a 3D printer to make my own.
I want to attach to the cabinet side using 2 holes, but offset the mounting hole either down a little to catch the second row of holes on the slide, or down and back if it's too tight that way.

We always used wood as our side panels are 3/4 ply. We pinned it to hold it then screwed it on. Used a spacer jig to set height.

We use back brackets where needed for drawers. Where I have struggled is pullout trays, I still don't have a good looking easy solution. Right now we line bore vertical sticks and spray a batch of them. When we need them we pull them and rip to needed width and screw slides on with system screws. It looks nice and allows for some adjustability but it takes way longer than I would like. I have also considered a 3D printer for these and other things, I'm just held up on learning another cad program.

We mount the bottom one to the deck, then the others are mounted to a shelf. We bore another set of holes in our back row 7/8" offset from the others. Put a shelf pin in that hole to keep the back of the pullout from tipping forward-now the other pullouts are adjustable. Just make your pullout drawer box however narrow you'd like to miss the open doors. I struggled with blocking etc for years until I started doing them this way.

Tony, we did this once. Thnaks for the memory jog. I love the idea of it BUT, how do you keep the adjustable shelf from sliding from the front of cabinet to back of opened doors. When we did this we used the shelf pins with a screw hole variant. I'm guessing its an imperfect wrold and you cant have it all is the answer. Thanks for the responses.

Chris-the shelf is stationary, like any adjustable shelf. Then you size the pullout smaller to clear the open door(s).

By "stationary" I mean the shelf doesn't roll out. The pullout/tray and runners are mounted to the shelf. It sits on pins, with a second set of shelf pin holes offset. Another shelf pin in this hole keeps the back of the shelf, with mounted pullout, from tipping up with the weight.
