CNC bits

I have been using Whiteside router bits for a long time. I keep seeing these bits advertised that have the nano coating, such as the Amana Spektra bits. Do they last twice as long as the ads suggest?

I cut lots of 3/4” melamine and for years used uncoated bits.
I tried the bits from Frost tooling and I highly recommend them. I easily get 3x the life out of a single tool over my previous top quality tools. They are only about $15 more but payoff with their longevity.
I also switched to the hydro lock tool holder mainly for the ease of the tool change

Derrek,
Which frost bit are you using for cutting 3/4 mel and at what speed and how many sheets do you get? Do you resharpen them?

I have both the 1-2 and 3/8 comp in the machine. We are switching to the 3/8 as our main cutting tool. I run it at whatever speed Nick tells me to:) we use the mortise comp with the shorter upshear. We sharpened 1 but I can’t tell you how it came out, I didn’t stay on top of it. We run them to where they are pretty beat up and they still cut good but my sharpening guy rolls his eyes when he sees them
