Does any one have any experience about Mozaik support??
before we buy it, we did some research but found nothing bad or good about it.
we still in the trial period (paid 3 month) and looks like it will be not a good experience.
time is running and we still waiting for some one return our calls or solve some construction methods simple questions.

I was looking into Moziak, too. I went to their website and sent them a few questions through their contact us link. That was a month and a half ago, and I haven't heard anything from them yet.

Yes, we posted around 9 questions so far at the forums board, some of them were answered and some got HALF answers (by admin most of the time).
Remember that people on forums are looking for answers as well, because they are like us do not have this much software experience, therefor it is not a reliable source for support. It is time consuming and more elaborated way to get support, for example a user can tell you as how to cut groove and this will take you 3 or 4 extra steps vs a support professional can get it right in one step to modify parameters in somehow clicking the right line to edit.
Chat room option is useless no one responded to any of my question except a very knowledgeable user told us as how to post a question ..lol, so now we are not excited of how many users showing on line at the bottom of the screen.
As a small business owner, and over 5 years was using KCD software and some experience with cabinet vision I can tell you that, Mozaik is a very good and smart software has very useful editable parameters at every level from global library level to cabinet level, but nothing is perfect, is like a sophisticated equipment with NO user manual or spare parts. New software with no support is useless and time waster.
Still hoping by the end of the 3 month trial that something will change, so we feel that gave it a fair trial.
also is there any one at the Ventura or LA area using Mozaik, we need to connect and see if we can get some questions answered.

I am a KCD user and just bought a CNC and before I dropped the money on the KCD cnc module, I thought I would give mozaik a try.

The ability to modify pretty much anything is fantastic as its all sketchup based. My problem with it was the lack of support, and I also found in INCREDIBLY TEDIOUS to draw out a job.

They basically got me for 3 months money. I used it for about a week before I scrapped it. Not the great software everyone has it hyped up to be in my opinion.

KCD will get my money for the CNC linker, and I will just have to AutoCAD the odd random part that doesnt fit within the KCD library. The majority of my work will fall within the KCD parameters, so it shouldnt be a big deal.

the service is perfect and the software very powerfull no any extra modul
you have main software ,optinest for cnc and opticut for beam saw all open to all main machines

My situation/experience with Mozaic is virtually identical to JM's

In my limited experience with it, I found it took way too long to generate sets of drawings, and I wasn't at all pleased with their support. One of the replies I got from them was just plain rude.

I started using Mosaik after purchasing a router. Our old software would not work with the new CNC. There are videos on the help site that will answer most questions. You really need to watch all of the videos to help in learning how it works. I visit the user forum regularly. I see a lot of questions that users ask, that just want someone to "do it for them", without taking the time and due diligence to learn how it works. They will be better off in the long run if they take the time to learn the software.

On the other side of the coin, there are things that get get missed when setting up, or modifying cabinets, that can be frustrating, and may need some advice. I have had a few of these, and they were merely an oversight on my part. These issues got resolved in a timely fashion.

Mosaik is only a couple of years old, so there are a few things that need to be worked out, but the developers seem to be pro-active in that respect. Also even the most experience users only have 18-24 mo. of experience. The user forum will get better responses from users as their experience grows.

thanks again for the follow up, at this point we stuck really bad, having a CNC Tech coming next week, we still can not get any construction method right so far.
also we still do not know if the post is correct and capable of shooting correct parts.
like i said, forums all half answers, emailed tech support two projects and NO response, calling and leaving message over 2 to 3 times a day and no hope.
we have to re do the math, slashing over 14K or more (do not know yet) with 1000 per year with decent support using cabinet vision or continue this madness with zero down and 1500 per year using Mozaik.
I have the call log showing all calls went out to the support line.
will continue calling to get just someone during the cnc training and will see what we can do later.

I was looking at Mozaik, but they didn't have a link for my CNC, I was hoping it would be done soon as KCD is a rip off compared to mozaik for cost.

Simple no nonsense program. Link it with aspire or vcarve pro and it's very powerfull. The best part is you pay for it once and your done.

It sounds like you are in a bind. Until you and Jim get things sorted out with Mozaik, you are welcome to use the full version of Cabinet Pro CNC for 3 months if you like....FOR NO CHARGE.

If you give me a call at (541) 664-2808, I should be able to get you up and running machining and cutting parts within two days. If you can work uninterrupted, you'll be getting your cutlists within a day. (Learning the CAD and BIDDING portions of the program would take a little longer, but you shouldn't need that to get some cabinets designed and their parts sent to your CNC.)

This is not an attempt to sell you anything. It's just a simple matter of helping someone who is in a bind. After you get your questions answered by Mozaik, you can toss Cabinet Pro CNC, because it will have cost you nothing to have used it. The tech support I will provide you will be free of charge too.

Which CNC router do you have that Mozaik cannot support? I ask this only out of curiosity because I made the post processor engine for Cabinet Pro CNC that supports ALL routers. The engine outputs all variations of g-code, Biesseworks, Woodwop, HOPS, Wincut, Shopbot, and HPGL. So I am curious as to which router you have that is so difficult.

Just a curiousity really....have you taken a moment to consider what it is costing you in down time while you are trying to save a few bucks on software? You spent quite a bit of money going to CNC from manual cutting and machining, why short-change yourself on software? It is all about the return on what you invest in your company, not the money you are saving today. Pony up and get some real software from a real company that has the staff to support you? Just thinking outloud.

Don't be silly Akram... you can't get CNC output with Cabinetvision for $14,000. Try $22,000.
To get the integrator out there is $2000 by itself.

General rule of thumb is if you have a PP problem there are two issues A) your cnc company is propietary on the controller and milking bucks or B) you are expecting the software company to do the impossible for you. most all software company's i have dealt with WANT you to have the PP otherwise you cannot use thier software..... NEVER NEVER buy a machine without checking software first and testing it.

Hi Scott,

So what software did you decide upon? Please don't tell me your Pratix is being used as a gluing table, because that would be a real bummer. That machine needs to be put to good use.

I never bought anything yet, I have programs written for everything I do so really haven't needed anything to badly. I figured it would be more profitable to upgrade the air make up for a spray booth.

Not impressed with their support, considering it is a subscription-based solution. Actually, as an IT professional who was attempting to support a client, Mozaik's customer support was the WORST I have ever experienced.
