We have a customer that bought a 1998 Rover 321. He would like to run Biesseworks 3.0 or 3.4. Is there anyone out there that has a post processor for XNC1.2 ?

I looked into it for a 1999 Rover 321. I gave up and used the same amount of cash as a down on a cnc router and post from Cabinetvision.
Do you have a card in the xnc that will accept a serial port or usb ?
Seriously, I was going to add Biesseworks to my Rover30, and just dropped that idea to draw in Cabinet Vision and sink that cash in S2M. Saves us a lot of $

Sample code will be required,
I would look to AlphaCam,BobCad, CADCode for a CAD/CAM Solution for that machine as they have all generated successful posts.
As CabinetMaker suggested, BSWorks may not provide the solution you require.
as I believe that BSWorks will not go that far back to support that version of XNC. You will need to contact service@biesseamerica.com to confirm. You will need the xnc version number 1.2.XX.XX and the plc info.
from quote page/pull down menu "options"/"version"
Hope it helps

I also do not believe BiesseWorks will support your Biesse XNC. We have had to make a post SPECIFICALLY for Biesse XNC for use within Cabinet Pro CNC. AI remember making this post a number of years ago, and it was not fun! The post you require would look something like the following code, that was produced by Cabinet Pro CNC:

Sorry about the typo above. The 3rd sentence should read, "I remember making a post...", not "AI remember...".
As you can see from the sample code above, the G-Code required by Biesse XNC is far from "standard" G-Code. This version of G-Code is extremely complicated, so it is understandable if the software your client is using does not support such a version. If you are using software that does not support such G-Code, have their technical support team contact me and I will be happy to share our post with them. (My contact information is located on our website.)

I know self-promotion is frowned upon, but CADCode has been posting to the XNC control for a number of years. We'd be happy to take a closer look for you.

Yep- I sent him and e-mail- not really sure how many people understand that the 321 is a rail and pod machine. I happen to know because I have one.
I don't think its the post as much as how to communicate with it from the office, unless they got that under control

Sorry guys. My late response was Flu and ridiculous weather related. I am just getting back to those that were nice enough to help, today.
I have received a few direct emails too. All have been helpful. I appreciate it all!
My customer bought a 321 and somehow, he's without the dongle for the original software. He is in South America and has had limited help from Biesse US (mainly because machine age, and his location)
He is trying to get a post to avoid the problem with the missing dongle.... by tying it in with Biesseworks, because he's using BW on his other machines.
I have some referrals for him at this point. Your help is thoroughly appreciated.

Will not work on 321 as it is not equipped with the proper plc to run it and the cost to upgrade would be way to high. Sorry has to be 2.1.1.0 or higher

worked at biesse as the cam/cad software instructor, and current post writer,,
your idea will not work,,you would need to upgrade that nc410 controller to the upgrade 12 of nc1000 minimum,,,or you need an alphacam post,,,
