I know what they say about opinions but...

CR Onsurd 145M12D, Biesse Rover K FT, Morbidelli N100, Centateq N-300, Anderson Selexx 510

OK, i have 150k to spend, not alot of time, and this is alot to digest. We are replacing our 15 year old Weeke Vantage. It would require 25k to repair and bring it up to date. I would like to hear any pros or cons you have to say about these choices. (listed above in no particular order)

Since we are spending your money...

Look at service, who among them has the service capability to get you going in a pinch. Thats Biesse or Stiles. You already have a Weeke so you know the score with Stiles. I looked at both of them and I went with Biesse.

Biesse service is top notch. My shop was flooded and my machine down and they got me going over the phone and I know nothing about electronics.

For 150k I think you are looking at a Rover S FT probably with an offload. Thats a nice fast machine.

I dont know much about the others, Biesse is the only Italian company that I would trust. The Onsrud I dont know anything about but every shop I have been in either has Biesse or Homag

Well, if you can't spend more than that, I would go with Anderson. They have been around and make decent machines. The reason I would go with them is the Fanuc control and I would hope matching servos. I have had a couple of Morbidellis and SCM routers, but not a Biesse. I have friends with Anderson and Onsrud offerings. Never even heard of that other thing you listed. Based on that experience I vote for the Andi. My 2 cents is worth just that. If you really can't decide on the iron, go with the salesman that you trust to put you in the right machine. All of them will do the basics, the hard part is getting good parts and service out of the vendor. Good luck!

What are you doing with it?
What software are you going to run?

I might add Busellato to the list. JKL machinery is now distributing and supporting Busellato and they are far better than SCM.

I'd look at who can actually deliver a machine. Huge shortages on all kinds of parts from China and incredibly long delivery delays on machinery.

I would also recommend looking at Busellato. JKL machinery has been great to deal with.

I'd put a Weeke on that list. Especially side you already have one and understand Woodwop.

The Centeque thing is a weeke.

But I have been so happy with my Fanuc based Anderson Stratos that I would never own another machine , ever, the control is simple and it just works, day in day out , it just goes to work.

I own a omnitech seleex mate since 2006 with fanuc controller. Still running today if upgrading I would stay with a fanuac.

I am also running a Selexx Mate with the Fanuc controller since 2007. It has been a very reliable machine for us.

I do not have direct experience with any of those machines, but I have talked once with Biesse's tech support regarding the size of Rover K machine, at the time when I was pondering getting one. I was reading machine's specs for the 4'x8' version in the brochure and found that the max working size was less than the size of standard melamine sheet, which is 97" x 49". The tech support on the phone actually confirmed to me that it wouldn't fit in the machine.

That was about 1.5-2 years ago; maybe tech support was wrong or the specs listed on their website were wrong or they have increased the size of the machine for an inch or two in the meantime, whatever... just make sure to double check such "details" before you part with your money.

Mach3 Controller
We use Ethernet interface controller card, the program is installed on a computer connected to the control machine.

It is the most common software for CNC machines in the world, support Winxp Win7 Win10, doesn’t need driver installed.

Aluminum housing, shielding interference, stable and reliable. Support spindle speed feedback function and power-off resume function.

Mach 3 is not even supported anymore. I have used mach 4 on my home 4 axis, but glitchy sometimes.
