Hello Bill,
Thanks for your feedback. We are running Genesis Evolution.
Here is the situation:
• The machine ran until Friday of last week (April Fool’s day)! It crashed in the middle of a run and it has not worked properly since. For about a week prior to this we had been having problems with it. The computer would stop working before a programmed run would start and give us Windows NT or DOS error messages. But we were able to reboot and get it to work. Since Friday though, we have not been able to do this anymore.
• At this time we are able to start the machine and go through the warm up routine. When we try to run a part we can go to CNC, load a program, check area S1 (for example), reset and push Start to begin running a part. It starts to load the first tool but at that time it gives us an error message that reads “Incorrect address of matrix or vector”. Once we try to click and get more information we get 4355 which I am assuming is the error message number. At this point we can got to Tools Download to unload the tool back into its original position.
• We can even go to the control editor and open a file, go through the optimization routine and get all green light that says everything is OK to run.
Busellato Tech support told us it may be a bad CMOS battery, and gave us instructions on how to setup the IRQs. We changed the battery and went through the instructions to setup the IRQs.
I don’t know if it matters or not, but we did have a computer problem about a month or two ago and it turned out to be a bad video interface slot. A local technician moved the card to a different slot on the computer and the problem was solved.
I am wondering if this is still a computer hardware issue. Is it possible to move the interface cards to another computer and load the machine’s programs on it.
Any help would be appreciated.
