Hey guys
We have a Biesse Skill that is 6 years old.We have had a problem with dust packing in to the groves of thru cut for a long time. It may have gotten worse I'm not sure.
The skill has 4 flexible nozzles that blow on the sheet right next to the router (all 4 fed off one 8mm line which seems to small). There is also a plate on the bottom of the router that blows a stream of compressed air on to the panel in line with the cutter on the y axis. All of this is about 6-8" above the sheet. I have confirmed the nozzles are all blowing. We have great dust collection and if the dust gets blown out of the groove it will pick it up.
I have some ideas as how to make this better but thought I would see if anyone has ran into this same problem and has found a good fix. We have also tried the Leuco brand of extraction turbines and results were not very good considering the investment. We had lots of problems when cutting ply the stringy pieces get caught in it. It did work OK on mdf, particle board, etc but not good enough to justify the cost. I know others have had this problem but never saw any post's as how they fixed it if the did. I have also contacted our Biesse sales rep to get his thoughts. Any feed back is appreciated, thank you
