After 13 years the Weeke BP60 has been lost to fire, almost taking the shop with it
After a two week exhaustive search I have made purchase of a Biesse A3.30
Picked it up, connected to air, power and DC
As anticipated, it had a few air leaks, nothing out of the ordinary after hauling a 15 yr old machine across two states.
I don't know who in the world designed the pods that ride on the support rails
Mother of All Holy..since I was repairing the few leaks, figured I'd just replumb all the tubing while they're apart.
An idiot can design something that's complicated
Genius is designing something simple that works
The designer of the pods is nothing short of sadistic.
The cartwheels necessary to install the tubing has left me utterly depleted and the little religion I have left, taken from me
I'm extremely handy with the wrenches but this design is an absolute nightmare
I could replace a vacuum line on the Weeke in seconds.
The machine seems very capable but unnecessarily over engineered with overly complicated design in some aspects
Some things should just be simple. A vacuum pod should just hold a sheet or part in place
I'm sure it will work out, but I've not seen the genius of the Weeke
