Hold down side drilling
4/3/24
We run a large bed pod and rail Morbidelli. Currently we’re getting inconsistent hold down results and having to drill one hole at a time on edge to keep parts from moving. We’re looking for a solution for a quick and accurate part holding. Is there something on the Parker that attaches to the rails or has someone put something together?

Maybe that's a bit barbaric solution, but have you tried fastening it directly to the table of the CNC router?

We have mushroom shaped hold downs that bolt into the top of the pins which work great. Used to be able to purchase them from SCM but not sure they are offered anymore but are easy enough to make. Just need to be carefull to not hit them as they will be above the panel.

My guess is you have dust in the vacuum lines or kinked lines. Vacuum problems everywhere or just one zone? Try to isolate. What model router and what vacuum cup? SCM has made a few different kinds over the years. Give us a call we can help. We like to say "We Suck The Best" at Better Vacuum Cups. This is the latest for the SCM from BVC.909 606-0140
