Obsolete cnc software

I have a Weeke CNC. Puchased in 2009. The machine is still strong as an ox. It has been perfectley maintained and is primarily used for residential frameless cabinetry. My problem is my software is obsolete and is crashing all the time. I run KCD software for my nested base panel processing but the machine is programmed with Woodwop. I am not a computer guy at all. I was shown how to run it fifteen years ago, I point the mouse and hit start.
Are there outfits that help guys like me.

Hi Chip,

Which piece of software is crashing? KCD or Woodwop? If it's KCD, it should be pretty simple to upgrade to a newer version, or swap out for another cabinet software if you want to.

Woodwop maybe more tricky. I've not used a Weeke before, so I don't know what that process would look like. But someone here may have an idea.

Could just be the Hard Drive going bad. I would clone it to an SSD Hard drive and see if it helps.

Here is someone who could likely build an install a new control if necessary. It may well be a hard drive or simple computer hardware fix.

Last year, we took a healthy Weeke BHC350, new in 2001, to the bone yard because I couldn't find a buyer. Great machine, but we decided to update because parts were getting too scarce to rely on it for production. If I knew then what I know now, I may have chosen to have a company like Mach Motion come in and retrofit a new controller and servos into it. This would be a software and hardware rebuild, that would have a completely different interface running standard G code. This would need new programs and everything. But, it's a way to recycle old iron.

But, we're happy with our updated machine. Able to run old programs, and do a lot more.
