SCM PRATIX N15 Resetting Y axis value

Sent Y axis ball screw assembly out to be re built, machine was noisy when moving But cutting square and true,I would assume that I will need to adjust the Y value after re installing the ball screw? to find its way back to its correct position or I can mark it before hand, little bit unclear how I should approach this, any input would be greatly appreciated.

Unless I'm missing something very basic, doing a homing procedure should be all you need. It's worked for all the machines I've ever owned, Komo, Biesse, Thermwood, ANDI.

When you change the ball screw, or motor on an axis you change the relationship between the motor pulley and the ball screw pulley. When it tries to calibrate that axis, it moves to the calibration cam and the roller switch activates. From that point the servo is looking for the zero pulse on the encoder. In your case it is likely travelling to past the maximum distance threshold set in the parameters before it sees that zero pulse. You are probably getting an axis sizing error if that is the case. You need to call into SCM group and start a ticket so a tech can log in and get it to calibrate and help to find the new zero offset.
