Wood to Metal
11/17/24
Okay, looks like I am getting involved with a 5 axis machine made for metal with a customer of mine. Been doing wood for 30 years. I have no experience cutting ferrous material. Is there any places that I can get good info on chipload, feeds and speeds for cutting metal? Thanks. This is a flood machine, so there will be cutting fluids.

I use the FSWizard app, it's awesome.

Whomever the tooling vendor is for the shop is going to be your best resource.- multitudes or more brands of tooling on the metals side and shops tend to be brand loyal ib that arena. Also tolling is ALOT more set up specific in regards to strength, rigidity and harmonics ( if your not familiar with chatter you will be)
