Fire Code Violation - HELP8/8
can anyone tell me what size the dust particles are for cutting melamine on a cnc router? i need a general idea. i know it depends on speed and feed but i've been hit with a fire code violation that will require me to separate my space with fire walls.
The rule is 420 microns or less requires a fire wall. can anyone tell me how big that is? i need some technical date to provide.
We are shut down until i can fix this. Please help if you have anywhere i can turn. Thanks.
0.0165354331" = 420 microns
That is about as much help as I can be. You can hire a lawyer and get a court order to allow you 30 days or similar to implement a solution. Especially if you have employees.
What is coming off your bits, I don't know. The Partical Board lobbyists will know what your equipment is likely to produce and may have some ammo to help you fight.
thanks for the help.
I'm sure that routing most any board is going to produce some dust finer than 420 microns. So no matter how it's measured they've got you!
