Soda Blasting for Stripping3/8
We got out of flow-over liquid stripping several years ago, subcontracting that work to another nearby shop that has done decent work. They are dropping hints that they may close down in a few years. I don't want to gear back up to strip in-house again.
We got an Ace 10lb portable soda blast unit to test how that might work for us without getting into compressor investments.
We notice some grain scouring which amplifies the white wood prep sanding effort.
Have any of you used/adopted soda blasting at scale with acceptable results?
BTW, we would be stripping primarily residential furniture - sofa frames, solid and veneered tables, chairs, etc.
Thanks in advance!!!
Nope, does not work very well. Just plan on going back to flow stripping or sending it out to someone to do it for you.
