Our Distributor informed us this week that they will no longer be carrying MLCampbell CV or any of their products but are changing over to Chemcraft products. I'm told the products are comparable in durability and production. Can anybody shine a light on what I can expect? We have been spraying ML Campbell products for 20 years without any great issues and customers have always been impressed with the finish.

We recently tried out some Chemcraft CV because the MLC product was getting expensive. The Chemcraft worked just as well as the MLC and gave us great results. We've sprayed it with our AAA rig and a gravity feed cup gun and it laid down nicely.

I have used Chemcraft and Cambell's off and on for 30 + years.

Do not use Evar. It is a low quality resin and has other issues.
There is a Chemcraft cv that I prefer and have not used it because of the volume we would need to purchase in each gloss (5, 20, 50, etc.). However, there is a Chemcraft cv that should be readily available that I can recommend. That product is Plastofix Light with numerous glosses available. It has been around for decades - so thoroughly vetted ; though through the years they've tinkered with it a wee bit. Decent clarity, reducible to a washcoat as needed, good thixotropic tendencies, and can blend into their Plastocolor cv pigments. I would reduce with their compliant reducer and a bit of butyl cellosolve. Within a few days a fine flowout.

We found the chemcraft topcoats to be equal or better in most cases.

Chemcrafts primers are 10000% better than anything that MLC makes. Better build, hiding, sanding, and dry times. I never realized how poor clawlock was until i used plastiprimer.

We had our Wurth rep drop this same bomb on us yesterday. Should be interesting!!
