What is your best methods to hire engineer/drafter for your bussiness?
There is a employment section right here on Woodweb. I have used it before successfully.
Other recourses might be:
Maybe a local trade school.
If you place an ad in any of these be sure to be precise in the job description and qualifications and list the city where your company is located.
After you get a few candidates do a phone interview then narrow it down to a face to face interview.
Curious why you would need some kind of engineer in a wood shop? You need strength calculations or something? They sure don't teach any specific woodworking solutions at an engineering college. I was a draftsman/designer at Caterpillar for 15 years. The only thing I could really use a lot of in my custom woodworking business was Trig for calculating angles and segments. Now you can find those calculators on-line and you just have to plug in numbers.
