I have been milling full time for over 10 years and seem to be getting a larger bug problem as time goes on. I do not want to put chemicals on my wood . I have a Nyle L200 that can kill them and I do always heat treat at the end of drying but mostly I air dry as that is what my clients prefer. I also have a 4'x4'x12' "hotbox" That I put boards in before I start a project and for all customers that buy wood and want it. It works very well. I talked with a man at Nyle and he suggested spraying the ground. I have talked with an exterminator and he suggest a product called Termidor. It is a termiteicide that also focuses on wood boring insects. If I were to spray this under all my air dry racks and the areas that I put my logs, will this help lower my infestation? Specifically, In their life-cycle do these wood bugs spend any time hiding under the debris on the ground under the wood they like to eat and have sex in(: I would also spray the floors in my sheds where I can get to.

Yes, Termidor will be the product that will protect against any wood insect infestation if applied to the ground under a covered area. It is a slow acting insecticide so any insect that comes in contact will die and any other insect that contacts the poisoned one will die, too.
